Lovely place welcoming staff and loved all the animals and we adopted a 7 week old puppy a border collie (as it was advertised) so we paid the price for a genuine border collie full breed until 7 months down the line me and my partner just thought she isn't getting any bigger so we did research into to find out our pup is a border Jack mix so we called and told staff about this problem, obviously we was keeping the dog it's our baby now and wouldn't want to upset the kids but the staff over the phone was so rude like they didnt care about selling a pretty much wrong breed dog and we know they had many more in quarantine, so we thought we would give a heads up to what they are putting up for sale non of the less 2 starts for the shelter and what they are doing when we first got there but other then selling us a wrong breed dog and wanting to know nothing about it.

Small rescue centre that's doing it's best for rescue dogs n cats. A warm welcome to all visitors.

My husband had two cats . But due to an emergency health issue which was long term we had to re-home the cats . I spoke to CAARS who said they would re-home them for us . I took them down . It was very sad to do but we were assured good homes would be found . The cats were taken away and my boxes returned at the office . I was then asked to pay almost 200 for the fees to take them. I was taken aback .lady said it was for their fees . I appreciate you taking them but I was just shocked at the amount of money asked for after I arrived . Yes of course we would have made a donation without asking . It was quite a lot though . I really do hope they found good homes . And no we were not told of up front expenses . I had to go and find another 100 and then return to the office . My complaint is you must always tell people the costs up front . I was told being young cats home would be assured quickly . Yes we are greatful to you , never said we were not !!!! Thankyou for the reply but no need to be rude !!!!

I visited CAARS this week on a college trip to help assist with an upcoming assignment. I have to say that these guys do such an amazing job with very limited resources available to them. They rely heavily on donations from the public and volunteers. They are pro-life and never put a healthy dog down. Truly inspirational! Anyone complaining about CAARS needs to open their eyes to the wonderful work that these guys do. Yes the road leading up to them is bumpy, but does that really take away from the time and effort that they put into these animals?! Absolutely not!I'd just like to say thank you to the staff for taking time out of their busy day to show us around and to answer our many questions. Keep up the good work! xxx

My dog has stayed here twice and loves his little holiday. He comes out in better condition than when I take him in. Thanks
